2013 Midwest Clinic

I hope everyone is having a great summer! The director’s meeting in Chicago was great!  It will be such an honor to perform at McCormick Plaza.  I think students are going to love Chicago!  American Classics is in the process of finalizing our Midwest travel package.  The Brandeis Orchestra Guild and I will be meeting next week to develop our budget for this year.  We have had some very generous donations but I cannot stress enough the value of getting our name and cause out to the community to garner support toward this historic venture.  We need as many sponsors as possible. I have placed the sponsorship letters and information on the Charmsoffice website available for distribution.  In preparation for our one- hour Midwest music program students will need to come by and pick up the three most difficult works selected.  The music will be available for pick up July 1st-4th between 9:00am and 6:00pm at my home.  Directions were emailed to you.  These works will need to be individually practiced and well prepared by our August string camp.  Students will receive an additional 8 pieces when school starts. Thus, it is very important that students be prepared on those works that will require the most individual focus.  The 8 additional pieces will range in difficulty from a grade 1 to a grade 4 level.
